Of course, much of the joy from this dominant performance evaporated with the news that Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles during the game, and his season appears to be over.
Even with the injury, there should still be some hope for this Vikings team. They are back to .500 at 4-4 and are in the midst of a heated playoff race in the NFC. Week 8 brought a few things to be excited about from this group.
