Indiana hosted Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) guard Boogie Fland for an official junior year visit in June.

The Hoosier coaching staff is working to get Fland back on campus this fall for a senior-year visit, which could strengthen the program’s position in Fland’s recruitment.

While Fland officially has a list of Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, St. John’s and UConn, Rivals.com recently provided a breakdown of his recruitment and ranked the contenders.

In order, Rivals ranked the contenders for Fland as Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Michigan, Maryland and St. John’s.

“Multiple people in the know have referred to Indiana as the sleeper in Fland’s recruitment for some time now, but the Hoosiers have gone from “sleeper” to “serious player” in the last few weeks,” Rob Cassidy of Rivals wrote.
